I am currently serving as Sr Advisor and Compliance and Risk Strategist to the CTO of the Federal Trade Commission. I’ve worked in a range of science, technology, and civil society areas, for orgs like the Federation of American Scientists and Democracy Fund, and at the game engine company Unity.com. I’ve previously worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in the Obama administration, and the U.S. Department of Education. When I’m not cosplaying as a bureaucrat in DC, I’m hunting for fossils or mushrooms or chilling with my dachshund, Pippin.
